Matthew da Silva is a Sydney resident who - after working on the road (in sales) and in offices (PR, technical writing, journalism) for 27 years - now happily works variously in watercolour (and collage) and on the computer with graphical manipulation software to make Poppey works of art. He has been writing poetry since 2007.
'Gold 4WD' is his first art show outside the state capital, brought to Goulburn with the support of Gallery 59 in Citizen Street. A book is in the works in paperback and Kindle, stay tuned.
He has a hybrid SUV (not gold in colour - !) and will be updating this page leading up to the show, with future ancilliary projects hopefully to derive from this initiative. If the show's title seems in any way obscure there is more information on this blog about how it came to be. You can also reference the 'Paramontage' page on 'Happy Antipodean' blog which Matthew runs. There's also the 'Painting' page in the same site which mentions Matthew's combines, a class of artwork that will be in the Goulburn show.
